About

Pocket Playbook started as a group chat between friends who kept swapping tips for whatever we were stuck on. At some point the notes got too long for a chat window, so we moved them here.

We're a small editorial team that plays everything we write about. If a game lands on the site, someone on the team put real hours into it, hit the walls most players hit, and figured a way through before putting a guide together.

We pick games by watching what's actually getting downloaded and what people argue about in forums. Genre doesn't matter much to us — a clever racing game and a slow-burn RPG both deserve a proper look. We don't accept payment to cover a title.

Everything here is written in plain language. If a mechanic is confusing, we say so. If a game drags in the middle, we tell you that too.

Marek Dvořák — Marek has been reviewing mobile games for the better part of a decade and still finishes every title before writing about it. He runs the editorial side and keeps the team honest.
