Learning to drift in Nitro Drift Valley
Nitro Drift Valley looks chaotic, but underneath the neon there's real technique to it. The single biggest jump in my lap times came from trusting the drift instead of braking before every turn.
Here's the thing: drifting is how you build boost. If you brake, you kill your momentum and your meter. Instead, tap into the slide early, hold the line through the corner, and let the boost carry you out the other side. It feels wrong at first and then suddenly feels great.
I switched off tilt controls and used the on-screen buttons, which gave me way more precision for linking drifts back to back. Tilt is fun for casual runs, but for time trials, buttons won me every record I cared about.
Learn the tracks. Each canyon has a rhythm, and once you memorize where the long sweeping corners are, you can set up your drifts in advance and keep the boost flowing almost the whole lap.
