Planning a sky-city that doesn't fall apart in Skybound Tycoon
The first thing Skybound Tycoon teaches you, the hard way, is that platform space is precious. I spent my first few hours tearing down and rebuilding because I hadn't thought about where things should go.
The fix is to plan your utilities first. Power and water have reach, so placing generators centrally means they cover more districts without you doubling up. Lay those down before you start packing in housing.
Keep your residential and industrial zones a little apart — happiness takes a hit when they're jammed together, and a grumpy city grows slowly. A small buffer of green space does wonders and doesn't cost much.
Finally, don't chase every upgrade the moment it unlocks. Expand only when your current districts are running comfortably in the green. A smaller, well-balanced city outperforms a sprawling, stressed one every single time.
